About: This piece was inspired from the Kavanaugh/ Dr. Ford Senate hearing. Women have historically been punished for being honest about being sexually assulted. At the end of the hearing and with the announcement of Kavanaugh as the new Supreme Court Justice, I was reminded of the mythological story of Medusa. Medusa was raped and her punishment for it was being turned into a hideous monster.
